A young farmer who is restocking his family’s Scottish upland farm with Lleyn breeding ewes is following his father’s lead by tupping ewe lambs with a Southdown.

The Fantastic Fifty Sale of Southdown females from the Brant and Chaileybrook flocks of Sid Cook and Jonathan Long respectively took place on 25th November 2017.

The Royal Welsh Winter Fair saw an encouraging number of Southdowns in the line-up across all eligible classes. In both live and dead classes Southdowns swept up the first place rosettes.
