The Induction Day is aimed at new and newish members who would like to learn more about keeping sheep in general, and Southdown sheep in particular.
This is a ‘hands on’ informal day, open to all over 10 years of age.
Numbers are limited and places are available on a ‘first come, first served’ basis. A simple lunch, tea, coffee and refreshments will be provided, but if you have any special dietary please bring own packed lunch.
The Induction Day will include a trimming demonstration by master showman Basil Cooper, vet talk, ‘ask the panel’ Q&A session, master judge demonstration then mock judging.

There is a charge of £20/head, £15 for under 18s, to cover costs for the day
