For the first time since the Covid pandemic, the South West Southdown breeders got together on March 2nd for a very enjoyable Sunday carvery lunch at the The King’s Arms Inn, Tedburn St Mary. It has become something of a tradition for the breeders’ group that they meet for a Christmas Lunch well into the New Year.
Sixteen members and friends were present, and the group was very pleased to welcome the Society Chairman Howard Wood and his family, who made the trip from Wales to join everybody.
After lunch Howard gave us a brief overview of some of the proposed plans the council has for the Society this year, and formally asked the group to represent the society at this year’s NSA Sheep South West event in June, which they are all very happy to do.
The group is looking forward to this year’s Field Day and AGM to be held at North Hele Farm, and a group visit to a place of interest in the autumn, followed no doubt a pub lunch.
