NEWS FLASH from the ROYAL SHOW 2005
John Barker, the Supreme Championship Judge at the 2005 Royal Show, said that his eye was originally drawn to the to the Southdown pairing. "They were undoubtedly the best carcase sheep in the ring on that day, but unfortunately the tup was just a touch lame so I had no chance of putting them up."
Mr. Sidney J. Cook of Brant Broughton near Lincoln, who owned the pair, was very pleased with the judges remarks.
Thank you to the Farmers Weekly, July 2005
