NSP/NISP Semen Archive – more added value!

Whats New?

  • From the 1st February 2006, the Commercial Companies involved in the NSP Semen Archive (CBS Technologies in Malvern and Britbreed in Edinburgh) have kindly extended their incentive payments to encompass ALL breeds involved in the project. Previously only mainstream breeds have benefited.
  • £50 Cashback is now offered to every breeder (all rams*, all breeds) nominating a ram that becomes a successful donor in the NSP Semen Archive for all nominations received after 1st February.

*except ARR/ARR genotypes

What does it cost the breeder?

  • The price of a stamp to complete and return a nomination form. (Call 0845 006 0008 to receive a form.)
  • Transport and semen collection are FREE!

Why should you become involved now?

  • This is a unique chance to help your Breed Society build an insurance policy to protect the future of your breed
  • Think ahead – If the Archive is opened do you really want to have to go to another breed to re-instate an allele your breed has lost just because you missed out on the opportunity to preserve that now?
  • There is only one year left before the Archive closes so give yourself the peace of mind that you played a part – Call now for a nomination form!
  • We only need another 8 rams to fully represent the Southdown Breed within the NSP Semen Archive – let yours be one of them!
