Field Day, 2007

Held on Saturday, November 17th, 2007 at Worcestershire Federation of Young Farmers' Clubs, County Office, Shires Farm, Hawford, near Worcester WR3 7SG. There were two speakers in the morning -
Henry Lewis, Chairman, British Livestock Genetics Consortium, President of British Cattle Breeders' Club, who spoke on "Southdowns - a world breed, are we part of it?"
Amanda Carson MRCVS, Founder and National Co-ordinator of The Sheep Trust who spoke on "Bluetongue" and "The Sheep Trust".
Henry Lewis spoke on "Breed a better pedigree flock - how performance recording benefits pedigree breeders".

The Jim Cresswell Trophy for the best group of
rams in the Flock Competition.

Mr. Henry Lewis, Chairman British Livestock Genetics Consortium, and President of the British Cattle Breeders Club, presented the trophies this year.
 
 Here he is presenting Mr. and Mrs. Crundwell (The Ladywell Flock from Kent) with the Gaddesden - Halsey Trophy for the winner of Class B in the flock competition (2006) for flocks of less than 40 ewes AND the Noakes trophy (2006 flock competition) for the best 3 lambs of each sex, sired by a named ram, present and shown
