CLARENCE HOUSE
LONDON SW1A 1BA

From: The Private Secretary to
HRH The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall

 PRIVATE AND CONFIDENTIAL
 15th June 2006

 Dear Mr. Pritchard,

The Prince of Wales has heard that you are retiring as Secretary of the Southdown Sheep Society and he did want to send you his most heartfelt thanks and good wishes. His Royal Highness knows that you have held the post for almost forty years, which must be a record for any such society - and he is full of admiration for all that you have done to promote Southdown sheep during this time. As you may know, His Royal Highness minds deeply that this country's native breeds of livestock are preserved and encouraged and you have done more than anyone to help the very special Southdown breed not just survive, but flourish.

The Prince of Wales has asked me to send you every good wish for a long and happy retirement and his heartfelt thanks for all that you have done for British agriculture.

 Yours sincerely,

 Miss Elizabeth Buchanan
